MEET KRISTEN

Kristen Moeller, MS, has been a force in the fields of psychology and personal growth since 1989, with behind-the-scenes experience in the book world since 2010.
A phoenix in hiking boots and a literary firestarter with a counselor’s heart, she’s part Anne Lamott, part Joan Didion, part mountain mystic in a thrifted leather jacket. Kristen is a TEDx speaker, three-time author, and publishing industry veteran who is known for guiding others through their inner and outer wildernesses.
She cradles manuscripts like babies, calls out weak premises (gently, over coffee, and with soul), and has helped countless authors find their voice—and their book deal. With a master’s in counseling and deep roots in the personal growth world, she blends fierce honesty with deep compassion—and understands what you’ve been through, because she’s walked through plenty herself.
Kristen began her publishing journey by writing her first book in 2008, then became an acquisitions editor at Morgan James Publishing and coached authors through her Author Your Brilliance™ mentoring programs. Since 2017, she’s hung her agenting hat at Waterside Productions—the home of spiritual luminaries like Eckhart Tolle and Neale Donald Walsch. Most recently, she founded Read Literary Consulting, where she midwifes books into being from proposal to publication.
She believes in deep conversation over small talk, late summer evenings over the race to be relevant, and dragons over doubters. Kristen’s story has echoed across NPR, ABC, NBC, Fox News, The New York Times, and The Huffington Post. After losing her dream home in a devastating wildfire and starring (alongside her husband) in an episode of Tiny House Nation, Kristen rebuilt her life—again and again.
Nestled in the Colorado mountains with her husband and her pit bull rescues (who keep her grounded and wild), she hikes for clarity, road trips for inspiration, and writes like her life depends on it (because sometimes it has). While mentoring the next generation of brave storytellers, she continues to pen her own.
If you need someone to walk through fire with you—and still stop to pick up a metaphor along the way—Kristen’s your guide.
Thank you, Kristen!
